LANDATA: Property Titles and Plans for Victorian Building Projects
Before starting a building project, it is important to understand the land you’re building on.
LANDATA® is Victoria’s online land title and property information service. Through LANDATA you can obtain official property information including a Copy of Title and Copy of Plan.
A title search can identify registered information affecting a property, while a plan can provide important information about property boundaries, easements and restrictions.
These documents can be important when planning a new home, extension, garage, shed, pool or other construction project, particularly where the location of proposed building work may be affected by an easement, boundary or restriction.

Your building surveyor may require title and property information as part of assessing a building permit application, together with architectural plans, engineering information and other relevant documentation.
Not sure what documents you need? CFL Permits can help you identify the information required to get your building permit application underway.
